The Botanic Gardens on the University of California Riverside campus is a wonderful place to take a walk and an even better place to quickly get away from the demands of the office.
This picture was taken on a cold and quite windy January afternoon not long after I had reached my limit of staring at a computer screen and countless phone calls.
Walking along a shaded trail I turned a corner and the sunlight was peaking through onto a patch of color not often seen in Southern California during January.
