Commercial shoots are challenging and certainly interesting. Many times you find yourself in places that you probably would never think of going if not for that days project.
Recently I found myself at just such a place. The Whitmer Theater. I'm sure that I have driven past this theater a thousand times heading one place or another and never given a thought as to what I might find inside.
Anything over a hakf century in age is probably pretty interesting and a theater of that age just adds to it.
I managed to steal a few moments here and there throughout the shoot to wander about the place.
This picture was taken from the stage looking out towards some par cans. I'll scatter some of what I found throughout this years blog updates.
Its just another reminder of what I tell students and up and coming photographers, get to where your going a little early and stay a little late. Take the backroads. Take the time to walk around back, you'll be amazed at what you see.
